Hopkins, Belize
Your Caribbean adventure starts here.
And this is where you stay.
Discover Shedrock Shangrila
Belize sits on the second largest barrier reef in the world. The water off Hopkins is the kind of turquoise that makes people stop mid-sentence. Underneath it: eagle rays, sea turtles, nurse sharks, and coral formations that have been growing for ten thousand years.
Above it: the Maya Mountains. The Cockscomb Jaguar Preserve. Ancient ruins rising from the jungle. The Garifuna people and their drumming and their cooking and their joy. Belize is not a beach destination. It is a whole world in a small country.

The Suites

Our family of 22 members had a wonderful reunion at Shedrock Shangrila. There was plenty for us to do with kayaks, stand up boards, pools, camp fires and fishing. We went on two excursions and employed Chef Aaron to cook some of our meals. I highly recommend him. Ellen Nunez, house manager, was very helpful before and during our stay. Chef Aaron served a beautiful dinner in honor of my late husband and made breakfast burritos along with homemade pizza. He also helped us secure the Lebeha Drummers for a special birthday celebration. What a fun place.
